International SoC Design Conference (ISOCC) aims at providing the world's premier forum of leading researchers in the SoC design areas from academia and industries. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of their original works emphasizing contributions beyond the present state of the art. We also welcome proposals on special sessions and participations in the chip design contest. ISOCC 2009 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE CAS Sociey and accepted papers will be published on IEEE Xplore. Conference Theme: "SoC Design for Green Technology" There is a growing interest in the "Green Technology". In SoC design, reducing power consumption has been one of the most important issues, traditionally from the standpoint of heat dissipation. But high performance SoCs tend to be power-hungry. IT products now account for a significant portion of the total electric power consumption. So it has become necessary to reduce the power consumption of SoCs to cut down on the use of fossil fuels. Low power design has become ever more important. Other emerging applications, such as electric and hybrid cars and smart grids are also attracting attention. Thus the theme of ISOCC 2009 is in line with this heightened interest in the sustainability. Important Dates Full paper due date: August 7, 2009 Chip design contest due date: August 9. 2009 Selected invited paper due date/ Selected special session due date: September 7, 2009 Notification of acceptance: September 18, 2009
