This event is in pursuance of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Science and Technology Innovation Policy (STIP 2020), as well as the recently launched BioE3 policy of DBT.

It will be run by the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Facility (CBBF) of National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR).

The event will showcase our Data Science Research in AI/ML and newly developed Open Source Tools to the wider science community.

There will be a maximum of 25 participants with the following Event Goals:

  • Beginner's AI-101 (Python, R, HuggingFace, Julyter/Colab)
  • Learning and Developing Human-Machine knowledge systems
  • Hands-On Training and Testing of Transformer based AI Models
  • Feedback knowledge and Technology to #BioAI


The three day hands-on workshop is designed to give insight and raise awareness among students and researchers about an open-source tool that enhances their research by leveraging various aspects of AI in science.

The workshop will include keynote lectures by experts alongwith the hands-on session.
