CIM 2009 welcomes submission as regular papers and proposals for special sessions. Main emphasis will be placed on the innovative applications of Control, Instrumentation and Mechatronic technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the followings: # Advanced Control Theory and Applications # Advanced Control Devices and Intelligent Instrumentations # Smart Sensors and Signal Processing # Intelligent Control Systems # Process Control Systems # Process Tomography # Industrial Control Applications # Robotic Applications # Advanced Mechatronic Devices # Power System Control # Control in Power Electronics # Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) # Biomedical Engineering Instrumentation and Control # Education in Control and Mechatronic Engineering # Mechatronics # Human Adaptive Robotics (HAR) # Human Adaptive Mechatronics (HAM) # Unmanned Vehicles # Multi-Agent Robotic Systems # Humanoids # Robot Assisted Application Regular papers: Please submit extended abstracts at the on-line submission page by 31 October 2008. The abstracts are expected to be about 2-3 A4 pages in pdf format which include background and motivation to the work, methodology, sample results and discussions. Upon acceptance, authors will be required to register and present their papers. Papers will be published in the proceedings only if at least one of the authors is officially registered. Special Sessions: Prospective organisers should submit proposals for special sessions to cim09@fke.utm.my. The proposals should be no more than one A4 page in length and is to include title, aim, brief outline, name and affiliation of the organiser and names and contact details of authors of 6-7 invited papers. Invited papers can be submitted in the same manner as regular papers with an indication that they are for an invited special session. Best selected papers will be further reviewed and recommended for publication in a special issue of International Journal of Simulation Systems, Science and Technology published by UK Simulation Society, Sensors and Transducers Journal published by International Frequency Sensor Association, International Journal of Computer Sciences and Engineering Systems published by Serials Publication, India and International Journal of Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems also Process Tomography.
